Agreement

These terms apply to your use of www.nrswarevision.co.uk, operated by Webrich Software. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

What this site is — and is not

This is independent revision material for the theory tests behind the England street works certificates issued under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991. Questions are written against the published sources named on each explanation, as they stood when that question was written.

It is not:

• a substitute for the Red Book, the SROH, HSG47 or any other published document — always work from the current edition of the document itself
• a substitute for formal training, assessment or the judgement of a competent person
• a qualification, an assessment, or a route to a street works card
• affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by HAUC(UK), SWQR, any awarding organisation, any registered assessment centre, or the Department for Transport

Unit codes such as "LA", "O1" and "S1", and document names such as "the Red Book" and "SROH", are used only to describe the assessments and sources this material relates to. All trade marks are the property of their respective owners.

Accuracy, and the limits of it

We take accuracy seriously. Questions and explanations are written against named sources and cite the clause or paragraph they rest on, and the counts shown on this site are generated from the app's own data rather than typed by hand.

Even so, specifications are amended, codes of practice are reissued, and mistakes happen. Content is provided "as is", without warranty that it is complete, current or error-free. Scoring well on a practice quiz here is not a prediction that you will pass a real assessment.

Always verify against the current published document before relying on anything here in real work. If you find an error, please tell us.

Assessment formats

Where this site describes an assessment — for example 20 questions with a pass mark of 16 — it reflects the format published at the time of writing. Formats, pass marks and certificate validity periods are set by the scheme and its assessment centres, not by us, and they can change. Confirm the current arrangements with your own assessment centre before booking.

Geographic scope

The question bank covers England. Reinstatement specifications and some statutory duties differ in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, so this material should not be relied on for work or assessments in those nations.

Practice questions

The questions on this site are a sample from the NRSWA Street Works Revision question bank. They are written by us to reflect the published unit specifications; they are not past papers, and they are not supplied or approved by any awarding organisation or assessment centre.

Questions, explanations, diagrams and other material on this site are our copyright. You may use them for your own revision. You may not copy, republish, scrape, resell or redistribute them, or use them to train a machine-learning model, without our written permission.

The app and subscriptions

NRSWA Street Works Revision is distributed through Apple's App Store and is subject to Apple's terms as well as ours. It is free to download, with an optional purchase that unlocks the full question bank.

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us. They renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions on iPhone and iPad. Refunds are handled by Apple under its standard policies; we cannot issue them on Apple's behalf, though we are happy to help you find the right place to ask.

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee it. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
