These questions are in the practice set above. Answer them there to see the correct option and the explanation for each.

  • Filling is about to start. A supervisor finds one of the gang working a moist handful of the fine stuff between clean dry palms, then squeezing a lump, releasing it, and rolling out what holds together into a thin strand on the back of a spade. He is asked to confirm which provision these trench-side checks come out of.
  • Two heaps are waiting by a trench: one won from the dig itself, one delivered that morning. Before the supervisor can settle anything else about either heap, each has to be given the lettered class the Code sorts fill into. Which provision sets those classes out?
  • Lumps out of the dig have been broken apart in the hand and a steel pin pushed into the undisturbed face, and the crew has written down how hard both were. What the supervisor now wants is the thing that turns those two readings into an answer about where this material may go back.
